Internships at USBE

Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics is one of few business schools in Sweden offering students the possibility of an internship course as part of the curriculum.

As a student in our International Business Programme or in one of our Master's programmes, you have the possibility of taking an internship course as part of your studies. Your internship provide a possibility to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.

Preparations prior to the internship course

You can see from your internship course syllabus what prerequisites you need to meet and your programme curriculum shows where an internship course may be taken. With planning, it may be possible to do both an internship course and study abroad.

Prior to your internship, it is a good idea to freshen up on your skills in how to use the office suite and especially Excel. As a student at Umeå University, you have access to Microsoft self-study material for free.

See Software and services.

International internships

You may choose to do your internship outside of Sweden. Erasmus+ scholarships may be available for internships in Europe. An international internship may mean a longer internship period and thus additional costs, you may want to consult your programme study counsellor.
