Guidelines for fire prevention at UID parties
- Participants: The maximum number of participants must not exceed the agreed limit set by UID leadership and the party organiser.
- Alarms: If an alarm is deactivated, Umeå University security and the emergency services must be informed by the house technician or UID fire prevention officer.
- Reactivation: The party organiser must reactivate any deactivated alarms and provide increased fire and burglary surveillance during this time.
- Evacuation: In case of fire or fire alarm, all music must be turned off, lights turned on, and evacuation carried out according to routines.
- Exits: Party facilities must have at least two emergency exits, each with a minimum width of 1.2 metres, which must not be blocked.
- Security: At least two professional security guards must be contracted for the party. The organiser is responsible for informing them about safety and security routines, fire prevention, alarm deactivation, and evacuation procedures.
