Apply for transfer of credits

If you want to apply for several transfer of credits, you need to make one application per transfer of credits.

See the steps in the application process

Once you have logged in and started the application, the following steps will appear:

1. Here you enter what you want to transfer credits to at Umeå University. Choose only one transfer of credits per application.
2. Here you enter your previously completed studies or occupational work experience that are relevant for the application. The transfer of credits can be based, for example, on a course, part of a course, occupational work experience or studies abroad.
3. Here you attach relevant documents (in PDF format) to the application. This could be, for example, syllabuses, employer's certificates or Official Transcripts of Records. Name the PDF file based on its contents, including the course code when relevant, for example "2FE211_syllabus" or "employer_certificate".
4. Here you can enter a message if you have additional information.
5. Here you check that your email address in Ladok is correct. If the email address is missing or if you want to change it, enter the email address that you use. Any messages and the decision regarding your transfer of credits will be sent to the email address you have registered in Ladok.
6. Here you review and submit your application.
7. Here you will see an acknowledgement that the application has been submitted.

You can see your submitted application on "Credit transfer" when you have logged into Ladok for students. Find your application under the heading "Current cases" where you can see, for example, the case number of the application.

Are you admitted to a course but cannot log in?

After the second notification of selection results, your data is transferred to Ladok. The transfer will take place during the first or second week of August and January, respectively. After that, you can log in and apply for transfer of credits.

What if I cannot apply via the Internet?
