Register for courses

You must register for the course you are admitted to. This also applies to courses within a program. Here you can read about what a course registration means and how it works.

In order for you to start studying in a course or programme, you must have gone through the following steps:

  1. Apply.
  2. Get admitted.
  3. Register.

Register on time to keep your place

When you have replied to your the Notification of Selection Results, you must register. Registration takes place at the start of the course. For some courses and programmes, online registration is being used. For other courses and programmes, you may need to show up at a certain place and time in order to be registered.

You will find information about what applies for your particular course or programme in your welcome letter.

By registering, you state that you intend to take part of the course or programme. You must be registered in the study documentation system Ladok in order to be allowed to take the course or programme and to get your results recorded during the course. If you have not registered in due time according to the instructions you receive from the department or programme, you may lose your place.

If you have been conditionally admitted

There are two main reasons why you may have been conditionally admitted:

  • You are required to pay tuition fees. Read about tuition fees.
  • You have documentation you still have to submit in support of your application.

Read more about being conditionally admitted.

If you have not yet received a final grade or equivalent for education that constitute entry requirements for the course or programme you have applied for, by the time of admissions, you will be listed as "conditionally admitted". If so, you will see this in your Notification of Selection Results in your account at universityadmissions.se.

Being conditionally admitted means that before you can be registered, you must present documentation to the department responsible for your course or programme, proving that you meet the entry requirements.
