Jag disputerade 2017 vid Umeå universitet, Institutionen för språkstudier och Forskarskolan i Utbildningsvetenskap, med en avhandling i Sociology of Education. Avhandlingen, Logics and Politics of Professionalism: The case of university English language teachers in Vietnam, handlar om att förstå dynamiken mellan professionalism för engelska lärare (i högre utbildning), lärarkunskap, och högre utbildningspolitik och praxis.

Sedan dess har jag också arbetat med andra områden: kritisk pedagogik, inkluderande utbildning, genus, och internationalisering.
 
Forskningsintressen: lärarprofession, lärares professionalism, lärarkompetens, lärares autonomi, kritisk pedagogik, det flerspråkiga klassrummet, policyer för utbildning.
