Mycket av framgången inom fältet artificiell intelligens (AI) under de senaste 10-15 åren kommer från framsteg inom AI-delområdet maskininlärning. Jag forskar i maskininlärning och datorseende, ofta med tillämpningar inom medicinsk bildanalys. Mycket av min forskning handlar om att ta fram effektiva automatiska segmenteringsmetoder och att utveckla nya regulariseringsmetoder för maskininlärning för att bl.a. öka möjligheterna att tolka resultaten.
