DNA byggs ihop av fyra olika byggstenar - dATP, dTTP, dGTP, och dCTP- som gemensamt även kallas dNTP. Målet med mitt projekt är att förstå hur förändringar i mängden DNA-byggstenar i cellen påverkar genomstabilitet, åldrande och uppkomsten av sjukdomar, samt utveckla metoder för att bota dessa sjukdomar genom riktade förändringar av DNA-byggstensnivåerna.
