IT support and help

This webpage is for students at Umeå University in need of IT support. Before contacting us via the servicedesk form, please check the Manual website if there is a manual for your problem or question.

Starting from 10 June, you must have activated MFA

Umeå University is increasing security to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your information or account.

As a student, starting from 10 June, you will need to have activated MFA (multifactor authentication) to log in to various systems, such as Canvas and the Student web.

Here is a guide on how to activate MFA.

If you haven’t changed your Umu-id password after 7 May, you need to do so before enabling MFA. If you need assistance or have questions about MFA, please contact ITS Servicedesk.
