I am head of the Department of physics and group leader of "Nano for Energy", an interdisciplinary research group focusing on nanomaterials and their applications in renewable energy.
I am leading a group working on nanomaterials, mainly nanostructured carbon, and other nanomaterials based on transition metal oxides, noble metals and hybrid materials of these. We are focusing on investigating and exploiting the electronic, structural and chemical properties of these materials and their application for renewable energy.
My research carrier started by PhD studies at Umeå University in 1996 with Professor Bertil Sundqvist (Umu), and Professor Per Jacobsson (Chalmers), as supervisors. My research focused on polymeric phases of C60, and we published some key work on high pressure polymerized C60, photo-polymerized and intercalated polymeric C60.
