Sun Sun

Sun Sun's research activities are primarily conducted at the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health (EpiGH) at Umeå University (UmU), with a focus on Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), particularly Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) based on Real-World Evidence (RWE).

Sun Sun has been involved in numerous research projects, including as a principal investigator (PI) and co-investigator (co-I), showcasing leadership and collaborative skills. Sun Sun has secured substantial research grants, reflecting the recognition of expertise and the ability to attract funding for impactful research endeavors.

The ongoing research projects, include studies on health outcomes and resource utilization for bariatric surgery, and methodological investigation of health outcome instrument and to implement cost-effectivness studies in clinical trials/public health intervention programs. In addition, Sun Sun has supervised several PhD projects, demonstrating a commitment to mentorship and knowledge dissemination.
