Roger is responsible for systems and method development at Humlab, where he coordinates contributions to a variety of research projects. He holds a degree in computer science from Umeå University and has worked extensively in applying text analysis methods within research contexts. Roger also has significant experience in digital archaeology, including the development of the SEAD database for environmental archaeology data.
Prior to his role at Humlab, Roger spent six years working with digitized cultural heritage at the Demographic Database at Umeå University. His background also includes over 15 years as a consultant, solution architect, and system developer, allowing him to draw on methods and practices from the private sector to enhance academic research.
Since 2015, Roger has been a member of Humlab's management teams.
