I believe that every individual deserves equal access to health, and that healthcare should be customized to address the unique needs of each person.

I'm a doctor specialized in children’s and adolescents’ health and holding a Ph.D. in Public Health. Currently, I am a research fellow oriented toward health system research at the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health in Umeå University in Sweden. I am also a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Social Welfare in Bukkyo University in Japan.

In Sweden, I lead a project aiming to bridge the gap between youth clinics and young men. My Ph.D. project, "Leaving the Door Ajar," focused on the sexual and reproductive health of young immigrants, creating a novel ecological framework for understanding access to healthcare. I was also part of projects exploring the organization of sexual and reproductive healthcare around men's needs and the conditions of youth-friendly healthcare services in Sweden.

Internationally, I lead the Swedish arm of a multi-country action research on child rights during COVID-19. I'm involved in projects on; the effects of decision-making space and social accountability on the decentralized health system performance of Tanzania, the role of comprehensive sexual education on sexuality decisions among adolescents in Zambia; and urban health disparities in accessing family planning services in Uganda.

Being part of the "Emerging Voices for Global Health" network, I'm committed to shaping global health dialogues. I also serve as the Managing Editor for The Journal of Community Systems for Health, promoting fair, open-access publications and collaborative knowledge dissemination.

My professional journey revolves around understanding and reducing health disparities and improving health services based on users' needs. Securing funds, as main applicant, from prestigious organizations like the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare (FORTE), South Africa Sweden University Forum (SASUF), and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), showcases my capacity for impactful research covering diverse areas like migration health, sexual and reproductive health, health system research and global health.
