Associate professor in Language Teaching and Learning. Research interests: language, reading and writing difficulties; interventionstudies targeting reading, writing and vocabulary.
I am working as an associate professor in Language Teaching and Learning at the Department of Language studies. My main area of interest is reading difficulties in relation to oral language, writing and educational attainment, for example we have recently finished a longitudinal project examining reading and writing development from primary to upper-secondary school for students with reading difficulties. Intervention studies are another central part of my research and in an ongoing intervention study we explore phonics and morphologically based reading instructions for students with reading diffculties in primary school. Before my PhD I worked as a speech language therapist with children and adolescents experiencing language and reading difficulties. For more information in English, please visit Researchgate.
