I am a doctoral student in English literature, specialising in speculative fiction, postcolonial literature and ecocriticism. My research focuses on the Arctic as a site of cultural and environmental narratives, exploring how speculative fiction reimagines postcolonial realities and ecological challenges in this unique region. I am particularly interested in how literature can address and complicate the intersections of climate change, resource exploitation and indigenous experiences in the Arctic. By integrating perspectives from postcolonial theory, ecocriticism and speculative fiction studies, my work aims to contribute to broader conversations about the cultural and environmental significance of the Arctic in contemporary literature.

Before beginning my doctoral studies in September 2024, I worked as a writing tutor at the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology's Writing Centre. As a writing/peer tutor, I supported students in improving their grammar, argumentation and readability, in English and Swedish. I also advised BA theses and helped students prepare for presentations, honing my skills in academic communication and mentorship.
