In our research, we study how bacteria bind to, and interact with, other bacteria and the mechanisms they use during infection. In our research, we investigate the structure and function of some of the proteins bacteria use for this.

We use biochemical methods in combination with structural biology to study bacterial proteins. Our main tool is protein crystallography, combined with other techniques such as biochemical methods, cell studies and electron microscopy.
