Jens Wahlström

My research is about how our work environment affects people's health and productivity. The factors in the work environment that I have focused on the most are cold, vibrations and ergonomic conditions. In one of our larger projects, we use the construction worker cohort and register data from the healthcare system to describe the consequences of more serious musculoskeletal disorders and diseases. Examples are surgery for cervical and lumbar disc herniations and which effect this have on disability pension. I also lead the Vector research group together with colleagues in the department.
