In brief, the research can be divided into two parts. First, why do people discriminate against ethnic and sexual minorities? That is, what makes individuals who discriminate move from thought and/or feeling to discriminatory behaviour?

Second, what are the health consequences for those in the aforementioned groups who experience discrimination, and how do these consequences vary within minority groups, for example, between different ethnic minority groups and between homosexuals, bisexuals, transgender individuals, and intersex people?

My research is conducted as part of the research project "Unpacking Experiences of Discrimination in Europe: Analysis of Multiple Marginalized Groups from a Comparative Perspective."
