Associate Professor in Health Economics
I work at the Department of Epidemiology and Global Health, Faculty of Medicine. My research focuses on the quantitative evaluation of the cost-effectiveness and equity impacts of multisectoral public health interventions.
I am part of the Salut Child Health Promotion Programme research group with project funding from FORTE. I also lead a knowledge translation project KAMSO developing decision support for social inclusion interventions funded by the private foundation Idéer för livet. I supervise PhD students working on the evaluation of interventions and health reforms.
I have a long-term collaboration with UCL in London where I worked 2009-2015 and am currently member of the virtual UCL Centre for Global Health Economics.
Member of UmU Medical Faculty's Strategic Board for Research and the Internationalisation Group.
I am course coordinator for the advanced-level course Health Economic Theory (7.5 ECTS) and the doctoral-level course Research Ethics (2 ECTS).
I also teach on Equity and Health (3.5 ECTS) and Advanced Topics in Health Economic Evalution Methods (7.5 ECTS).
Each year I supervise a number of theses by students taking our Master's Programme in Public Health with a Specialization in Health Economics.
