I hold a master’s degree in biotechnology and a doctoral degree. My doctoral work centered on investigating the role of cancer-associated fibroblasts in oral cancer. I have experience to work with a diverse range of cells, including those isolated from cancer patients and organoids established from mouse models as well as commercially available cell lines. Following the completion of my Ph.D., I worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Daniel Öhlund lab at Umeå University in Sweden, where my research focused on pancreatic cancer.

Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow in Anne-Marie Fors Connolly lab and I am actively engaged in a research project aimed at identifying biomarkers for severe disease outcomes in infections caused by viruses such as COVID-19, Influenza, and the Puumala virus, with a special emphasis on endothelial glycocalyx degradation.
