Doctoral student in Business Administration, affiliated with Arctic Graduate School.
I have an academic background in civil engineering and sustainable destination development and practical experience of project management in public and non-profit cultural sector. My research interests include sustainable entrepreneurship with focus on the role of small and medium-sized enterprises, non-profit and grassroots organizations in local and regional development.
For my PhD thesis, I am working on a project about community entrepreneurship in the rural Arctic. In my research, I investigate the role of community enterprises in addressing social and economic exclusion in rural peripheries of Northern Sweden. By means of my research, I aim to advance the knowledge on bottom-up perspectives in providing social services in resource-constrained environments and contribute to theoretical discussions in the fields of sustainable entrepreneurship and rural development. Results of my study will hold implications for both scholars, practitioners and policymakers and contribute to facilitating the dialogue towards more inclusive and socially sustainable development in rural peripheries in general and in Arctic regions in particular.
