Head of the Optical Frequency Comb Spectroscopy Group
https://www.umucombs.org/
I am an experimental physicist with many years of experience with development and applications of laser-based spectroscopic techniques. My PhD thesis work at Umeå University focused on development and characterization of an ultrasensitive spectroscopic technique based on a compact fiber laser. After receiving my PhD degree in 2009 I spent 2 years as a postdoctoral researcher at JILA, University of Colorado in Boulder, CO, USA, working with optical frequency comb spectroscopy in the group of Jun Ye. Since 2012 I am back in Umeå, where I lead a group working with this technique. We develop new detection schemes of comb spectroscopy with improved sensitivity, resolution and spectral coverage, and we apply the technique to precision measurements and analysis of molecular spectra, and to sensitive multispecies detection.
