The aim of the course is to provide better understanding of experimental techniques (spectroscopic and microscopic) that give information on the relation between microscopic and macroscopic properties of surface and interfaces of materials. The subject of the lectures in the course will typically be: the type of information that is provided by the technique, the fundamental physical principles of the technique and the analysis of acquired data. In addition there will be compulsory labs and demonstrations. The techniques are the following-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, (XPS), infrared spectroscopy (IR), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), scanning electro spectroscopy (SEM) , atomic force microscopy (AFM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
Behörighetskrav
Univ: Akvatisk kemi 15 hp (KEMB43/45) eller Analytisk kemi 7,5 hp (KEMB42/44) och Biofysikalisk kemi 7,5 hp (KEMB46/47) eller Biokemi 15 hp (KEMB22/23) eller Bioorganisk kemi med spektroskopi 15 hp (KEMB21/24) eller Spektroskopi - en introduktion 7,5 hp eller motsvarande. Engelska A och svenska för grundläggande behörighet för högskolestudier om utbildningen ges på svenska.
