Time: 14 January 2021
Venue: on Zoom
The COVID-19 pandemic holds the world in an iron grip, illustrating the importance of conducting fundamental, clinical and applied science in infection biology.
Scientists and staff members within UCMR research groups, collaboration partners and researchers with an interest in microbial research and/or infection biology are invited to a day of inspiring research presentations and an excellent opportunity for networking and initiation of multidisciplinary collaborations.
UCMR day 2021 will be a digital conference, with talks from selected abstracts and invited speakers, and a virtual poster viewing and discussion session.
Key note speakers:
Emmanuelle Charpentier, Nobel laureate in Chemistry 2020, UCMR Alumna, and honorary doctor at Umeå University, Mentor of the EC - "Excellence by Choice" postdoctoral programme of UCMR and MIMS.
Stefan Pöhlmann, Head of the Infection Biology Unit, University of Göttingen, "SARS-CoV-2 entry into cells and its inhibition"
