Restrictions
Closed programmes and courses:
Exchange students may only study at an undergraduate level. Undergraduate students are not able to apply for graduate courses.
Courses
Course levels: Course codes starting with 1, 2, 3, or 4 are undergraduate courses.
e.g., GE1111, CS2114, AIS3012, MA4152)
Course types: 3 credits (term course)
Course information: Available courses to exchange students can be found on the Exchange Student website, under ‘Submit Your Application’, then ‘Select Courses for Your Study Plan’.
Full time studies (corresponding to 30 hp):
15 credits.
Academic year
Autumn term: September–December
Spring term: January–May
Additional costs
As an exchange student, you do not need to pay tuition fees. However, additional costs may incur.
Accommodation
Exchange students will need to submit an online application for housing on campus. There is limited on-campus accommodation available and therefore no guarantee for a residence place. CityU has an Accommodation Website, where students can find information about student housing, as well as how to find off-campus accommodation.
Hall lodging fee for one-semester inbound exchange students per person is approximately HK$ 11,450 / semester for double room.
