I conduct research on numerically reliable and sustainable algorithmic solutions and their application. I teach scientific computing, parallel programming, and optimization
Roman Iakymchuk is Associate Professor at the Department of Computing Science at Umeå University, Sweden.
He conducts his research on numerical linear algebra, accuracy and working precision of computations, parallel programming models as well as enabling sustainable computations.
If you are interested in making computations sustainable (again), contact me. I have several projects from Bachelor and Master to PhD levels.
Parallel processing and applied mathematics: 14th International Conference, PPAM 2022, Gdansk, Poland, September 11–14, 2022, Revised Selected Papers, Part I, Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 2023 : 16-29
Roman Iakymchuk teaches courses on scientific computing (with floating-point errors to correct solutions and applications), parallel programming on many- and multi-core architectures (CUDA, Pthreads, and OpenMP) as well as distributed (MPI and GASPI).
