Jag är legitimerad dietist och har disputerat inom miljömedicin. De flesta forskningsprojekt jag arbetar med handlar om betydelse av kostvanor och/eller miljöföroreningar för vår hälsa, främst med fokus på hjärtkärlsjukdomar och diabetes. De stora materialen inom norra Sveriges hälsoundersökningar, där data samlats in sedan mitten av 80-talet, ligger som grund till många av de projekt jag arbetar med.

Jag arbetar en del av min tid som vetenskaplig rådgivare vid avdelningen för biobanks- och registerstöd, där jag vägleder andra forskare som vill använda materialen inom norra Sveriges hälsoundersökningar.
