Målet med vår nuvarande forskning är att dechiffrera nya epigenetiska och RNA-baserade mekanismer som påverkar globalt genuttryck. Detta innefattar processen genom vilken informationen från en gen används vid syntesen till funktionell genprodukt, och dess implikation i cellöde och cancerinitiering och -progression.
