Virginia Langum has received a three year extension of her Pro Futura fellowship following a review process by an international panel of leading researchers.
Langum's research concerns the connections between the body and religious experience, as well as medicine and ethics, in the Middle Ages and beyond. She has most recently finished a monograph on Medicine and the Seven Deadly Sins in Late Medieval Literature and Culture, which will be published in July.
"I am delighted to continue both with the programme and with the Department of Languages at Umeå University," Langum said.
