NYHET Since 2010, the Department of Language Studies at Umeå University has an agreement with the University of Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.
There has been plenty of activities since then, including student exchanges, visits by various researchers in both directions, a Linnaeus-Palme exchange programme, research collaborations with a PhD-student from Seychelles joining our department and a Wallenberg funded research project, which will be carried out in collaboration with the University of Seychelles. In preparation of this project, there was a research workshop on gender structures in Sweden and the Seychelles at the beginning of April 2016.
