Utlysning från The Global Cardiovascular Research Funders Forum (GCRFF). Genom Swiss Heart Foundation har svenska forskare möjlighet söka anslag för en specifik satsning kring kvinnors kardiovaskulära hälsa.
The Global Cardiovascular Research Funders Forum (GCRFF), of which the Swiss Heart Foundation is a member, is inviting researchers to compete in a new International Research Challenge that aims to transform the landscape of women’s cardiovascular health.
Structure
The overarching goal of the challenge is to support transformative research in women’s cardiovascular health, focusing on one or more areas that represent an unmet medical need of global relevance.
This funding opportunity is structured as an international, multi-institutional, and multi-disciplinary research network grant that brings together experts from around the world to collaboratively execute a research program delivering impacts that no single continent, country, or institution could achieve on its own.
Areas of Interest
The International Research Challenge topic is broadly scoped around women’s CV health including, but not limited to, three areas of interest:
Risk factors and prevention of cardiovascular disease across women’s life stages
Clinical diagnosis and treatment of conditions more prevalent or with worse outcomes among women
Sex-specific underlying mechanisms of cardiovascular disease in women
Incentive
A grant of US$ 10 million over 5 years will be awarded to the highest ranked international research network application.
