Delar sprids ut över rummet, förflyttas och förskjuts. Där är sanden, stolparna, stenens tyngd. Där är märkena, bågarna, linjerna.

'The stone with its slow materiality, the traces of someone walking in circles, the hollowness in the mine, the arch bending over the space created in the room. Writing, making, thinking, doing: these things happen at the same time sometimes.'  

It all starts with an object. Urban and rural, a network of communication is given. A body labours in the cold. If you heap stuff up over a period of time, and allow it to settle on its own accord, roughly circular in plan and conical or bell-shaped in elevation – a mound is formed. This structure builds up because the material heaped upon it is falling down.
