Humlab Talk med Charles Ess, filosof och professor i Media och kommunikation vid Oslo universitet.
"How can researchers ethically use data from the Internet? What are good practices and examples, what are the "no-can-do's", and how do we deal with the grey areas in between?
Prof. Charles Ess will during this Humlab Talk present the third revision of the Association of Internet Researchers’ ethical guidelines. AoIR has an ongoing commitment to ensuring that research on and about the Internet is conducted in an ethical and professional manner. Ess led the Association of Internet Researchers' first Ethics Working Group , leading to a report in 2002, and has continued to be deeply involved in the work, with new guidelines being issued in 2012, and a third revision to be released in the autumn of 2019.
This talk both aims those already working with projects involving digital research material and/or methods, and those interested in ethics issues in general."
