The Digital Environmental Humanities

This project explores the intersections between the digital humanities and the environmental humanities.

The project has several components:
- "Digital Natures" - a pilot research project exploring the impact of digital media on our understanding and experience of nature, as well as the potential uses of digital research tools in environmental humanities scholarship.
- "Ant Spider Bee: Exploring the Digital Environmental Humanities" - a collaboratively edited international research blog edited by Finn Arne Jørgensen, Kimberly Coulter (Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society) and Wilko Hardenberg (Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society). - A series of visits to leading international digital humanities institutions in 2012-2014, funded by a HUMfak internationalization grant. These institutions include Scholars' Lab, University of Virginia; Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media, George Mason University; Center for Digital Humanities, University of California, Los Angeles; Spatial History Lab, Stanford University; metaLAB, Harvard University; Department of Digital Humanities, King's College, London; Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society, Ludwig-Maximillian University, Munich.
