Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics (USBE) offers doctoral education within Business Administration, Economics and Statistics.
Doctoral studies involve four years of full-time study, which include a number of courses and a doctoral thesis. PhD students may be appointed on teaching and/or consulting duties up to 20 % of their time, thereby prolonging the duration of the program so that four years of graduate studies are guaranteed.
Besides acquiring in-depth knowledge of a field of study, our graduates will also cultivate their critical and analytical thinking.
The public defences of doctoral theses at Umeå University are always open to the general public.
