UPL has taken the initiative to start a collegial network for teachers who form part of Umeå University's educational qualification model.
The network serves as a platform for sharing thoughts and ideas about higher education pedagogy but it also has an important part to play regarding mentorship and the strategic task of making qualified and excellent teachers visible.
Umeå University's educational qualification model
In 2014, the Vice-Chancellor at Umeå University established a model for educational qualification. The aim is to "contribute to a continual improvement in the quality of education by encouraging teachers to develop a high degree of pedagogical expertise and encouraging departments to create good conditions for pedagogical development."
