Pedagogical Development Project in Higher Education
Is there a need for pedagogical development at your department? Do you wish to establish new preconditions for or ways of working in your own teaching? Or in a group of teachers? If so, do apply to the course Pedagogical Development Work in Higher Education.
This course is for you, a university teacher or a leader in education, who aspire to engage in a pedagogical challenge or practical problem through a development project. What you choose to do should be relevant to teaching and education in your field of expertise.
Through the course format you are offered guidance form UPL staff and other course participants. The course contains of two parts, 2 + 3 weeks respectively. You can start the course when it suits your planning and you can complete the first part only, or both. Swedish and/or English are working languages during the course.
Part 1 of the course, 2 weeks
Phase 1: Background and establishment of development problem Phase 2: Overview of relevant literature, research, concepts, and established practices Phase 3: Designing the project, choice of approaches and methods Phase 4: Plan for implementation
Part 2 of the course, 3 weeks
Phase 5: Implementing the development project and evaluation of the implementation Phase 6: Analysis and discussion of results in relation to literature and the initial aim with the project Phase 7: Document and share the results from the development project
