Outdoor gym
Place: Campus
More information

Take the opportunity to try out the university's new outdoor gym, a non-leader-led activity.

Since September 2020, there is a new activity area and outdoor gym on campus. The gym, which is funded by the Police Training Unit and Umeå University, is open to everyone in all seasons. Each module is equipped with a QR code with clear instructions on the exercises that can be performed and the gym will be designed to suit everyone.

Facts about the outdoor gym campus
The outdoor gym will be equipped with a roof and lighting, which means that the gym can be used in all seasons. The new outdoor gym is divided into three modules. Each module is equipped with a QR code with clear instructions on the exercises that can be performed and the gym will be designed to suit both women, men and wheelchair users.

These are the three modules:

Module A, which is located between the Northern Behavioral Sciences Center and the Police Training Center, is a complete outdoor gym with ten fixed stations with adjustable weights where you can train all muscle groups.

Module B is a 400 meter long running track around the artificial grass field and is being built next to the running track.

Module C is a multifunctional training unit that offers a range of different training sessions for both the experienced person as well as the inexperienced. The training moments are endless and you can train both statically and dynamically.
