Havsutsikt is a popular science magazine describing Swedish marine research and marine resources. The articles are written to a large extent by the researchers themselves.
Havsutsikt is published twice a year in both a printed and a digital version. Subscription to the magazine is free, and the number of subscribers on the printed version is approximately 7000. In addition, the magazine is distributed to exhibitions, schools, libraries and the like.
Collaboration with the distributor Utbudet means that Havsutsikt is spread to schools across the country, and used by many teachers as part of the teaching. The edition is 11000 copies. Havsutsikt is produced by Umeå University, Stockholm University, Göteborg University and SLU within the Swedish Institute for the Marine Environment .
