Living sparks imagining in future Home-GPT era, if our living space could be transformed to be a pervasive interface which learning from people and also providing them plauisble means for improving life quality and archieving life resilience, how can AI play a supportive role to better enhance wellbeing in ordinary moments or even some provocated situations in living rhythm? This project is exploring and mapping out the future scenario of living within AI. By connecting data from healthcare and domestic IOT, Home smart 2.0 system proactivly sparking context-aware scene and extending it into reality of existing space. The whole system aims to generating fluid ambient interfaces in different touch moment, while enabling natural interface for instant adjusting and long-term training, it allows people better immerse their own moment in cinematic reality experience, also encouraging them use the confined space to explore another world. The system framework design the AI logic running in different perceivable and interactive situation from holistic sensory perspective, therefore AI could better cooperate with user in a more humane and personalized approach.

Project information

People have already started the conversation about "Does tech shape our homes or Do our home shape tech? ". In fact, we are facing the revolutionary threshold of how we interact with our living spaces. As the lines between our physical and digital/virtual worlds continue to blur, it is crucial to consider how technology can be integrated seamlessly into our homes while preserving their essential role as places of refuge and comfort. As designers, we need to find the well balance between doing practical and speculative design when in an ambiguous design timeframe.

Living in confined space is the most normal situation in our daily life, no matter in cozy apartment or small student dorm. People are all expecting better life quality and searching for their own vitality. Environmental psychology points out the corelationship between our living spaces and our mental state. Tech-driven design practices will lead to prospective changes, it as an anchor to combined this two elements then bring more resilience into the circle of life.

The project is result in an AI-enable system in home smart 2.0 era, and the whole system is consist of fluid ambient interfaces and natural conversation with AI in different scale of timeframe. It innovative approach is extending reality in principle of context-aware, mindful, sensorial, adaptive and responsive, with this context the home space could be redefined as a prospective and pervasive interface. To empower stable home setting more fluid in situations, and provoking extrordinary moment in ordinary life. The whole design starting from find the infintie loop in life circle, and propose with a supportive system which solving the complexity in life from mental, space and technology lens. In a word, this AI system is designed to empower people to design their own living rhythm.
