The project started from the extremely convenient lifestyle we enjoyed nowadays. We received everything easily and quickly just by a tap of our finger on a screen and do not need to go out anymore. Together with MINI, which is also an experiential lifestyle brand, we kept exploring how a little mobility might just be the key to unlocking a world of fun and connection. It is only not about getting people out of their houses but creating experiences worthy stepping out for. Take China as an example, food has a remarkable power to draw people together and share the relished moments. How might we re-enable the food logistics experiences to inspire social engagement beyond convenience? The possible answer to the issue came out through this thesis. That’s how food deliver mobility: Nibby brings humanoid appearance to logistics, symbolizing values of togetherness and community.
This project inspires people to get out of their homes, engage in community and enjoy life's authentic experiences, for instance, food experience. It provides new options for future food transportation, both at the system level and at the interactive level of the medium. The solutions emanating from the author may become a positive emotional complement to future fresh food transportation systems.
The approach has been to reimagine food deliver experiences beyond mere efficiency. Nowadays the food delivery chases for ‘speed’ and we embrace this convenient lifestyle, but in the future, we expect more values onto it like reconnection, co-creation and communities. It is always the moment when we see it, smell it and touch it that makes our moments so relished. Nibby never replaces the traditional convenient food delivery but adding more vitality to the urban area.
Nibby is not alone. The GreenGait System stands behind it. GreenGait aims to encourage people to join the urban farming activities spontaneously. It provides the platform and resources for people to grow their own food and share the co-creation moments together. Nibby also guides the subscribers of GreenGait. Moreover, as a smart and slow food deliver mobility, Nibby inspires an interactive trip to the city and passersby. The addressing of Nibby and GreenGait systems allows people to not only enjoy the happiness on the consumer side, but also have the experience of participating in cultivation and production.
In summary, Nibby leverages their small footprints to play with creative communities and support urban farming and biodiversity in a sustainable way. We believe that by the help, the journey of food will be a symphony of connection and resilience. Meanwhile, there will be so many amazing moments in life that are worth remembering and exploring. Food is one of them. As the representative of a lifestyle brand, Nibby and I would look forward to developing them.
