Interwoven
Interwoven
Long-distance relationships are a common experience and many of us know at least one couple. There are many reasons people choose this form of relationship, such as the rise in borderless dating or moving for education and work, plus the numerous lockdowns caused by the corona pandemic.
And with its benefits come just as many difficulties, such as lack of physical contact and shared time as well as dealing with time zones.
In this project, the focus has been on the latter two to offer
couples in long-distance relationships new opportunities for both actively and passively socializing at a distance.
And create a greater sense of connection even in unsynchronised situations such as when both partners are off work or awake at different times.
The result is a pair of communication devices that offer exclusive contact to their partner when the users are at home, and engage more senses than hearing through haptic feedback for increased perceived closeness and immersion.
The support app offers additional functionality Users can view and provide status updates to their partner. If away from home or when Interwoven is without power
