About the course

This course is aimed at students with an established ability to sketch. The goal of the course is to give students practice in expressing complex relationships in relation to spatial interpretations. The purpose of the course is to give practice in drawing techniques to reproduce the whole of the body, its proportions and its structure, based on balance, direction and distance. The teaching is focused on furthering the ability to draw, to highlight the character and expression of the image and to describe different image compositions in relation to perception. The course is oriented towards the practical exercise of visual work. Throughout the course, the exercises are linked to the students practical needs of visual communications.

The lessons on site take place over three intensive weekends, Saturday and Sunday. These are complemented with some distance learning assignments. A detailed schedule will be published before the start of term and sent out in the welcome letter on acceptance.

The course is mainly in Swedish but if there is English-speaking students tutoring can be held in English. If most of the students are English speakers the lectures will be given in English with the option of tutoring in Swedish
