awards an annual grant for basic research, which:
• contributes scientifically based knowledge about the development of individuals • is based on the assumption that the individual functions and develops in a life perspective, as an integrated psychological, biological and social being in a changing world • takes into account the knowledge that individual development in this perspective is crucial for the design of an education system that serves the cultural, social, economic and technological advancement of society while taking into account the conditions and needs of individuals.
Amount available for distribution in 2025: SEK 2 500 000.
• The grant is awarded in full and regardless of the nationality of the recipient. • The grant is preferably awarded for research linked to a Swedish scientific institution. • The grant is awarded for basic scientific research as described above. It can include, salary, scientific equipment, costs for conferences, symposia, costs for foreign guest researchers, study/research trips and publication costs.

Attach a project description of max. 2 pages, excluding references, in PDF format.
A budget of SEK 2 500 000 is compulsory. Please make a brief description of the intended use of the grant, by specifying each post. Administrative fees or unspecified purposes are not accepted. Only direct costs, i.e. costs directly related to the project, will be accepted.
Language used is either Swedish or English. Separately submitted supplements in step 1, incomplete applications or applications submitted by e-mail will not be considered.
Application documents will not be returned. Applicants will be informed by the end of January 2025 whether they have progressed to stage 2.
Deadline for applications, stage 1: 15 November 2024 Step 2: Three applicants will be selected for Stage 2. They will be contacted by email and invited to submit an extended version of the application with corresponding budget. The final decision will be made in June 2025 and the grant will be awarded in autumn of 2025.
This course is organized by MultiPark, a strategic funding resource at Lund University. You will gain in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge from top neuroscientists at Lund University. Covering topics from basic neuroscience to clinical application, the course has a particular focus on Parkinson's disease, dementia, Huntington's disease and acquired brain injuries. The course consists of lectures, small classes and a hands-on laboratory project.
