Spring Is Coming With a Strawberry in the Mouth

A new time of year, after a long rest. There is a spring winter, a period when something is about to break through but is not quite there. There is a neither-nor that is both frustrating and hopeful. We look back at what has been and what is to come.

The yellow shades of a sky curtain fill the body with desire next to another. Frozen areas become porous, shiny ice turns into dull asphalt. From outside comes a creature with strawberries in its mouth and it walks through the rooms.

Spring Is Coming With a Strawberry in the Mouth is a group exhibition from second-year students on the bachelor's program from the Academy of Fine Arts at Umeå University. Viewers get to scratch the surface of works that touch on the physical material, memory, movement and the forces of nature. The exhibition includes painting, photography, sculpture, installation, performance and video.

Opening 12 April at 19:00 - 22:00. 
Ongoing performance by Enea Conradzon and Justus Krabbe during the evening.
Performance by Love Törngren 20:00 - 20:30.

The exhibition can be seen at gallery Verkligheten 12 – 27 April.
