As a student at Umeå University, you have the right to be represented when decisions are being prepared or made that could impact your education or life at the University.
Below, we have listed the university bodies that must have at least one student representative. The lists also mention how many of these bodies’ members and deputy members must be student representatives. Student representatives are designated by the student unions.
There are groups and bodies at both the university-wide level and the faculty level. The university-wide ones serve the entire University, while the ones linked to a faculty only concern themselves with that particular faculty.

The number of members and deputy member refers to the total of first-, second- and third-cycle level student representatives together. When three representatives are required, students at the first- and second-cycle level may designate two, while third-cycle level students may designate one.
The student representatives are designated by the Umeå Student Union’s Arts and Humanities Section and by the Faculty’s doctoral student association.
