Every workplace, and also schools/universities, over a certain size must provide resting rooms for students and staff, according to the Swedish work environment law. We have 2 rooms at UID. The rooms should be used in situations when staff or students are unwell, or need to rest during the work day/study day. Since the school is responsible for work environment and safety, it is our obligation to be aware of the reason that someone is using a resting room, and that we in the staff monitor the wellbeing of the person there. That is why the rooms are locked, and not accessible unless you contact someone in the staff who can open it for you. Talk to any staff member in the Administration corridor primarily, if you need access to the room.
