Campus: The university has five campuses, the main campus Kattankulathur is located about 35 kilometres from central Chennai.
Student life: The university offers a range of student clubs and arranges several culture events annually. There is also a fitness centre offering yoga, tennis, badminton, basketball and horse riding.

SRMIST has been ranked as the no. 1 private university in India in the year 2015 by India Today. SRMIST is also ranked nationally as No. 1 in Engineering.

Select the courses that you want to pursue at SRM. Refer to SRM’s website for up-to-date information on courses. Please note that Odd semester courses are offered in Fall Term and Even semester courses are offered in Spring Term.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology requires a C average for entry into the Study Abroad and Exchange program. Entry to individual subjects may be dependent on prerequisites and class limitations.

Student grants and loans for studies outside of Sweden

You may be entitled to student grants and loans from CSN when studying abroad.

As the cost of living and accommodation may be higher abroad, you can apply for an extra loan known as an additional loan for studies abroad.

You can also apply for an additional loan to cover additional costs, i.e. travel and insurance costs.
