Campus: Located in Manipala, India. Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has campuses in Mangalore and Bangalore but also in Dubai and Malacca.
Student life: Campuses at Manipala and Mangalore provide a cosmopolitan and congenial atmosphere in which students from over 60 countries create a relationship for life. Manipala, a classic fusion of cultures and customs provides a wonderful opportunity for dialogue and understanding of Indian cultures. Students can join various educational and recreational clubs for music and fine arts, literary pursuits, yoga, debating and photography. Mangalore, a port-city is famous for its pristine beaches and hospitable people. It is also popular for its medical colleges and educational institutions.

There are a lot of facilities to supplement classroom teaching. These facilities encourage and aid students in innovative thinking and pursuing careers of their choice.

About Manipala

Manipala is located in the south of India, about 1,700 kilometres from the capital New Delhi. The number of inhabitants are 50,000. The closest larger community is Udupi, about 7 kilometres from Manipal. The number of inhabitants in Udupi is 165,000. The city is known for its hindu temple, Udupi Sri Krishna Matha.

Restrictions 

Exchange students are predominantly accepted for studies at the Manipal campus. Mangalore and Bangalore campuses are decided on a case-by-case basis.

Additional costs 

As an exchange student, you do not need to pay tuition fees. However, additional costs may incur. 

It is mandatory to apply for a student visa once admitted. 

Accommodation  

The two accommodation options available for students are ‘Satkar Paradise’ and ‘New International Hostel’. Charges are USD 13 per student, per day, and applicable bank charges for a wire transfer. 

Allotment of rooms will be based on the availability.

Student grants and loans for studies outside of Sweden

You may be entitled to student grants and loans from CSN when studying abroad.

As the cost of living and accommodation may be higher abroad, you can apply for an extra loan known as an additional loan for studies abroad.

You can also apply for an additional loan to cover additional costs, i.e. travel and insurance costs.
