Do you need a result certificate, a certificate of registration or a copy of your degree certificate? Here you will find out how you can get the document you need.
Result certificate or certificate of registration
Result certificates show your completed courses and, if relevant, degree. It can, for example, be used to prove your study results for an employer.
A certificate of registration shows which courses you are now or have previously been registered on, and during which terms. You can use it to show that you have been a student at Umeå University, for example to the unemployment insurance fund. There is no information about a degree on a certificate of registration.
Get it yourself
The easiest way to get a result or registration certificate is to download it yourself fromLadok.
If you have studies at other Swedish universities that you want to include in your certificate, you can get a "national result certificate" from Ladok.
The certificates have an electronic seal that confirms that they are genuine.
Order from the university
If you cannot log in with your Umu ID, you can contact Infocenter to order a certificate. You can use the contact form below. If you order a certificate for your studies, this means that Umeå University will process your personal data. For more information, please read www.umu.se/en/gdpr.
For your integrity, the certificate is sent in paper form to your address registered in the Swedish Population Register (folkbokföringen). It may be possible to get a digital version of the certificate, which is then sent to the e-mail address you entered in My settings.
Copy of degree certificate
Often, a result certificate is sufficient to confirm that you have your degree. If a result certificate is not enough, we can send you a certified copy of the degree certificate you have already received. If so, turn to Infocenter. You can use the contact form below. When you order a certificate for your studies or a copy of your degree certificate, this means that Umeå University will process your personal data. When you order, please specify which degree you are referring to, your name, Swedish personal identity number and the address you want it sent to. It may be possible to have the copy sent by e-mail. The copy will then be sent to the email address you've entered in My settings.
