The Master’s Programme in Physics contains a lot of freedom of choice. This makes it possible for you to tailor the programme to your own interests and future plans. You can create your own unique profile and specialize in an area of physics of your own choosing.
You can choose to follow one of our recommended study paths, combine courses from different study paths, or freely choose among our courses. It is also possible to include courses from other relevant subjects, for example mathematics or computer science.
Advanced courses from other universities, for example from studies abroad or previous studies on a master’s level can be transferred and included in your degree.
Since it is not necessary to follow our recommended study paths you will have a great freedom in which courses to study. It is, however, important to always keep track of the prerequisites for the courses you are planning on studying. It is also important to ensure that you will be eligible for the degree in the end of your studies. For these reasons it is always recommended to discuss your study plan with the programme’s study counsellor.
The recommended study paths for the programme are:
• Computational Physics • Photonics • Nanos Science and Advanced • Space Physics and Astrophysics • Theoretical Physics
